What is the best type of hay to feed Icelandic horses? I have a 22 year old mare that is not doing well on alfalfa or alfalfa mix (50/50) hay, so I switched her to a straight mixed grass blend. Would it be better to use just straight timothy, or brome, or orchardgrass? I know to avoid fescue, but what works best for this breed? Thanks, Marivene
