Just a suggestion. Our mare is spends most of the day in a stall at a stable with 4 barns and 45-50 horses. She is the only Icelandic, and is currently in the barn with the miniature horses. As the occupants of the stalls around her change, she has temperment changes. My daughter makes it a point to stop and let the mare sniff noses & say hello (even over the fences) to 3 or four horses on the place, some miniature, some full size, every day when she rides. Most of the "herd" she visits have been stabled next to our horse at some point in time. In effect, we selected her horse's herd, and maintain daily interaction, even though the situation is not ideal. It has made a big difference in the mare's temperment. She used to sulk every time her stablemates were changed, and now she is more otenf her happy, perky self, eager to go out and eager to please. Hope this helps, maz
