Hi -- I'm an equine journalist searching for more information about an unidentified disease which apparently has killed two horses in Iceland. It causes fever and weakness and can be fatal within a few days. Can anyone point me in the right direction? So far I have only the one news tidbit to go on.
Thanks! Karen Briggs

My Quarter Horse has this in its worst form and I have no clue on how to help him out. He is losing his hair more and more every day. He is scratching on anything he can in his stall. I'm just beginning to learn that this disease exists and that my Doc has it. It is very sad to see my horse suffer like this. Can anyone help me ease his pain?
